Ostroy denies he’s an Obama groupie and claims Obama is changing things, he is just slow in doing it

The reality is, Obama is fast in continuing Bush’s war, torture, warrantless spying, military commissions act and destruction of civil liberties

You really gotta love people like liberal blogger Andy Ostroy. It really takes a special person to be able to pull off what he does. We already know politicians blatantly lie and completely flip-flop on important issues. We know newspaper columnists lie and distort facts. We know political news anchors and commentators lie. These people have reasons to lie. They are controlled. Their strings are being pulled by higher powers.

But, here we have people like Andy Ostroy, who has no reason to lie. He doesn’t work for a newspaper or a TV news network; his strings are not being pulled by global elitists, bankers or secret societies [as far as we know], but yet, he is still a big fat flaming lying fraud. Why? Some people are just dishonest, that’s why. That’s just who they are.

Real Truth Online’s 2009 Fraudie winner starts off 2010 with yet another literary anthem of distortions and lies. In his latest article, titled, “The Problem with Democrats” [Jan 27], Ostroy asks, “What the fuck happened?” to his party [Democrat] in reaction to his savior Barack Obama’s approval ratings hovering around 50%. And the fact that unknown politicians like Scott Brown are winning elections in states like Massachusetts where normally Democrats win.

After criticizing a Facebook user who said they voted for Obama for President but they voted for Brown because, “I believe again we need change & action!", Ostroy said this:

“For Pete's sake, how much friggin' change do you need? How about voting for change and then giving those elected enough damn time to actually effect change before you toss 'em aside for more change?”

How much change do we need? Are you serious, Ostroy? How much change has there been? Obama has done absolutely nothing in his first year in office. Oh, wait a minute, yes he has.

*He has continued the Military Commissions Act, after briefly suspending it.
*He has sent more troops to Afghanistan, twice.
*He has rewarded failure by bailing out his buddies on Wall Street with hundreds of billions of dollars [of taxpayers’ money].
*He has not attempted to prosecute Bush for war crimes.
*He has continued the torture program that his eighth cousin, Dick Cheney, oversaw.
*He has continued detaining acquitted detainees indefinitely.
*He has broken his promise of transparency and has adopted the Bush form of transparency, which is: secrecy.
*He has told Americans [and the world] to not question the official story of 9/11.
*He has denied detainee access to legal representation.
*He has continued the illegal warrantless wiretapping program.
*He has continued Bush-like signing statements.

Most of the list above are things that were started under Bush and have continued. Others are as equally unconstitutional as the rest of the things Bush did. What change is Ostroy referring to?

When you purposely continue Bush policies, then you are not just slow in changing things, you are not making one single attempt to change, and many are beginning to realize the colossal mistake they made in voting for Obama. This is why Republicans are winning elections.

Ostroy will have you believe that Scott Brown won in Massachusetts because of an influx in Republican voters and that scores of Democratic voters were just tired of Obama, when in fact, the real difference in that election was the surge in Independent voters at the last minute.

Here’s the part that almost made me soak my jeans in urine. Ostroy continues:

I'm no Obama groupie, and I've certainly done my fair share of criticizing him and the party. But he's not a miracle worker, and deserves more than one year to undue to massive damage caused this country during eight years of the Bush administration.”

He’s no Obama groupie? If writing articles with titles such as, I Love Obama!, “Why Obama’s Peace Prize is Deserved”, “What Obama’s Done for America’s Confidence”, “You Want Real Change America? Choose the Black Democrat”, “Holy Shit, What an Amazing Week for Barack Obama”, “Why Obama Must Become President”, “I Want To Be Black” [in homage to Obama], “Oh-bama!”, “President Barack Hussein Obama. America’s Shining Moment” doesn’t earn you the title of “Obama groupie”, what does? Ostroy is actually right. It doesn’t make him a groupie; it makes him a disciple!

Keep in mind, these articles were only just a few of Ostroy’s love letters to Obama. Also, they are only the titles. Read the articles themselves. You’ll soon discover that Ostroy is not only a disciple, but also a worshipper of Barack Obama.

Not a miracle worker because he needs more than a year to undo damage caused by Bush? True, Bush brought utter catastrophe to America, which is all the more reason why Obama needed to spend less time at state dinners, making TV appearances on Letterman and Leno [which Ostroy wrote about as well] and on the golf course.

If I was elected Mayor of my town because the former Mayor spent too much money, increased taxes by 50%, failed to repair roads, laid off 1/3 of the police force causing increased crime and did nothing about drug dealers, and I stepped in and simply continued down the same incompetent path, would it be accurate if my supporters [if I had any] claimed that I was just slow in making changes?

Of course it wouldn’t. But Ostroy wants us to believe that Obama is just moving slowly to change things, despite him saying this on December 17:

“Have Democrats so thoroughly and so quickly blown their unprecedented seat at the controls? Has Obama failed so miserably to deliver on his promise of change? Have Republicans demonstrated once again that in the political equivalent of a street fight they know how to kick the crap out of liberals? Yes, yes, and yes.”

So, Ostroy is allowed to say “yes” to the question “Has Obama failed miserably to deliver on his promise of change?”, but when others acknowledge there has been no change and take action and vote in another party, they are condemned and criticized for it. Ya gotta love it.

Only Andy Ostroy [and other Democrats] is permitted to criticize Obama. When Republicans do it, they are “impatient” and expect Obama to be a “miracle worker”. It also appears as if Ostroy is the only one allowed to flip-flip as well; and that he has. In my 5 years of blog browsing, no one has flip-flopped more than Ostory.

Case-in-point: Just in a new article today [Jan 28], Ostroy said that one of his favorite moments of Obama’s State of the Union address on Wednesday night was “The Generals looking like 5-year-olds in a time-out when Obama said he's ending the Iraq War”.

He is? When is this happening? Before or after continued funding and increased troop levels? Before or after 1,000 more troops die? Before or after another trillion is borrowed from China? Before or after our economy completely bottoms out and comes to total collapse and our dollars’ value is zero?

Only one thing is guaranteed; that when [not if, when], Obama continues the Iraq war for 3, 4, 5, or 6 more years, Andy Ostroy will be defending his King.

not only are Republicans (and non-partisans like us) impatient and expecting miracles when we criticize "The One" - we are racist as well.
