Jon Stewart lies and says Mike Huckabee was “last candidate standing against John McCain”
Innocent blunder on Stewart’s part or intentional complicity with corporate controlled media who attempted to bury Ron Paul?

Last night on The Daily Show, Jon Stewart welcomed former Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee as his guest. 13 seconds into the clip below, Stewart says this, “Last night for you….you ran, you were the last candidate standing against Senator McCain, uh, there was some talk of you as Vice President…”
Watch the clip
Mike Huckabee withdrew from the campaign on March 4, 2008
Ron Paul withdrew from the campaign on June 12, 2008
I have never been a math whiz, but staying in the race 3 months longer would put Ron Paul, not Huckabee, as the last candidate standing against McCain.
This very well may have been a simple, harmless mistake on Stewart’s part. Or, as in the case of the majority of Americans, it could be the result of being a victim of the complete media blackout that Ron Paul was continually subject to during his campaign. But, unlike the dumbed-down American population who still think that politicians really care about us, this is no excuse for Stewart, since his job (although a comedian) is to stay up to speed with the political scene.
Naturally, Huckabee did not correct Stewart. He’s a minister and a Neocon posing as a Republican. With that combination, did you actually expect integrity?
